When the world shut down in 2020, AmChaTS was already moving. Volunteers coordinated family support across state lines, distributed free face masks, and ran a medical help helpline so that no one in the American Tamil community had to face the crisis alone. That kind of action, fast and rooted in real relationships, is what this Glastonbury-based organization has built its reputation on.
Founded as a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, AmChaTS is entirely volunteer-run, with chapters spanning the United States. The mission covers three pillars: charitable relief, cultural preservation, and education.
